What We Do
Our mission is to help seniors maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life by improving access to essential transportation services throughout the community.
Community NeedAs the senior population throughout Muskegon, Muskegon Heights, and surrounding West Michigan communities continues to grow, transportation challenges affecting older adults are becoming increasingly more common.
Many seniors — especially those living on fixed incomes, facing mobility limitations, or lacking reliable family support — struggle to access safe, dependable, FREE or affordable transportation for essential daily living needs. |
It is designed to work alongside and support existing transportation providers, senior service organizations, healthcare systems, churches, volunteers, and community partners to help identify and address unmet transportation needs affecting seniors throughout our region.

Senior Shop & Ride Share was developed to support and strengthen the transportation infrastructure already serving Muskegon County through collaboration, not competition. Our goal is to complement existing services, help address transportation gaps, and assist when needs exceed available resources.
