Our goal is to support and strengthen the existing transportation network by working alongside community organizations, healthcare providers, nonprofit agencies, faith-based organizations, and public transportation partners to help identify unmet transportation needs and improve access to essential services throughout Muskegon County.

Whether it’s transportation to a medical appointment, pharmacy, grocery store, food pantry, senior center, or another essential service provided by one of our community partners, Senior Shop & Ride Share helps remove transportation barriers so individuals can receive the support already available within our community.
Rather than replacing existing services, we strive to complement them by filling transportation gaps, expanding access, and creating stronger connections between individuals and the organizations dedicated to serving them. Our vision is to become a trusted transportation partner for organizations throughout Muskegon County, helping ensure that transportation is never the reason someone cannot access the care, services, or resources they need. |

Identifying Transportation Needs Before They Become Barriers
We encourage our healthcare providers and community partners to ask a simple question:
“Do you have reliable transportation to and from your appointment?”
For many seniors and individuals with mobility challenges, transportation can determine whether they receive the care they need.
If transportation is a concern, Senior Shop & Ride Share may be able to help.
When transportation needs are identified in advance, we will work with our community partners to coordinate safe, dependable transportation whenever possible. This is especially important for medical procedures, treatments, and appointments that require someone to transport a patient home afterward.
