Senior Shop and Ride Share
A community transportation support initiative developed by Cadillac Inc. Car Club of Muskegon, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Muskegon, Muskegon Heights, and surrounding West Michigan communities.
Our mission is to help seniors maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life by improving access to essential transportation services throughout the community.
As transportation barriers continue to affect many older adults — especially those living on fixed incomes, experiencing mobility challenges, or lacking family support — Senior Shop and Ride Share was created to help address growing community transportation needs through compassionate, community-based transportation support.

Senior Shop and Ride Share is designed to work alongside and support existing transportation providers, senior service organizations, healthcare systems, churches, volunteers, and community partners to help identify and address unmet transportation needs affecting seniors throughout our region.
Through community partnerships, volunteer involvement, outreach efforts, and future transportation development initiatives, our goal is to help seniors remain safe, connected, independent, and active within the communities they call home.
We believe transportation is more than just getting from one place to another — it is access to healthcare, food, independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Built on Community Research & Assessment: Before developing Senior Shop & Ride Share, Cadillac Inc. conducted a public community transportation assessment and consulted local transportation and human-service organizations to better understand transportation challenges affecting seniors and adults with disabilities throughout Muskegon County.
The program was intentionally designed using these findings to respond to documented transportation needs within our community.
The assessment and community research identified several transportation needs, including:
Senior Shop & Ride Share was developed to help address these documented community transportation needs while complementing and strengthening existing transportation resources throughout our community.
Through community partnerships, volunteer involvement, outreach efforts, and future transportation development initiatives, our goal is to help seniors remain safe, connected, independent, and active within the communities they call home.
